The bottom shelves would make a great display area for collectables, or of course, for books! The top pulls down to reveal a lovely desk with cubby holes for goodies. I will be getting measurements soon.

It looks to me as if it has been varnished - kind of shiny, and no white wax. So, buy it like it is - have the varnish stripped, and finish it lightly with Deft spray finish, not polyurethane. The owner does not know if her father had this done to it or not.
