The floor lamp can be made several sizes, of course. It sits on a very heavy hand crafted (by Tom, also) base, which is chip carved, and 1/2 rounds applied to the edge, all around.
Lots and lots of man hours go into the making of this lamp - for instance, Tom bores a hole the length of the inside of the gnarl, and believe me, that is a very difficult job to do - and then he puts the electric wire up through that, so you don't have unsightly wire hanging down or stapled to the outside of the wood.
He puts all the electrical components on the top of the lamp, including the harp to hold the shade. Then we have it professionally packed to ship to our client. The lampshade is packed separately.
Please e mail with any questions you may have. We welcome any new designs you have in mind, also. We accept your personal check in payment, 1/2 down to start the order. A typical order, once started, will take approximately six weeks to complete.
The buyer pays for all shipping expenses, of course. We use DHL Ground if the item being shipped fits within their parameters, otherwise, a truck line is used.

Whoa --- I didn't know the pictures were so bad. Taken before the advent of the digital camera. But think you can see what the floor lamp will look like!
Again, an awful picture - but use your imagination. Will get better pictures if Tom ever makes another floor lamp!
