“The Marine Shells of the West Coast of North America,” Vol. II, in 3 parts. By Ida Shepard Oldroyd. Published by Stanford University Press, Stanford University, CA. 1927. Rare. This volume is in three parts, all three publications with light grey/blue paper covers. The covers are in good condition with some chipping and fraying along outer edges and the tops and bottoms of spines, and some soiling. The outer edges and spines are aging. The back cover of book II is loose and the covers of the book III have been taped. “J. C. Roth,” is stamped on the top corner of the front cover of the 3rd book. Each book contains black and white plates at the back, 108 in all, on glossy paper with explanations on the opposing page. Text pages are clean and bright. Actual size of books is: 7 by 10 inches. Part I is 297 pages, II is 304, Part III is 339. This Volume contains the Marine Gatropods. Many of the plates are from the Proceedings and Bulletins of the US. National Museum. Rare. Geological Sciences.
