Original blue/green hard-cover ahas some shelf-wear and soiling. Gold-gilt lettering on front cover and spine is bright and clean. Decorative dust-jacket is partially stuck to back spine and back cover. Dust jacket has chipping and aging. Bottom corners of cover bumped and top corners lightly bumped. End pages are green and cream maps: Front is the Moffat Tunnel, back is The Denver Northwestern and Pacific Railway, Moffatt Road.” Both maps of light aging. 18 illustrations including end-pages, plus many pages of black and white photographs, in good condition. Library stamp pressed into additional front page. Text pages clean and bright. Actual size of book: 6 by 9 ¼ inches. 402 pages. This is the story of the men who located, financed, constructed and operated the Moffat Road in some very trying conditions.
