Civil War Era Soldier's Buckle Maker Unknown

Vintage Civil War Era Soldier's buckle with bird dog embem on front. Maker unknown. Nickle plate on cast iron in good condition. Buckle measures 2 by 2 inches and has natural pitting and green oxidation. Guaranteed authentic historical American relic. Not sure if buckle is Union or Condederate issue; item is from a Colorado Civil War collection. A nice X-mas gift for the discerning history buff. Happy Holidays
