Gen. Stand Watie Addressed Envelope-Civil War

Envelope addressed to General Stand Watie, Wellars Falls CN 11. Undated, circa 1860's. 3 x 5 1/2 inches. Torn at top left and bottom right corners with quarter segment missing on back. Envelope intact with 3 cent US postage stamp. Soil spots on front and back. Stand Watie was the only full-blood Native American Indian to become a U.S. Brigadier General. He later took command of all the Indian forces of the Confederacy during the Civil War and was great power in the Cherokee Nation along with Union Chief John Ross. He died on September 9, 1871. A scarce piece of U.S. Civil War History.
