Old Photo of a U.S. Ship in arctic waters circa 1945. Possibly off the coast of Alaska or the Bering Sea. Laid down on foxed brown board. No info on verso. Condition: Good+. Photo shows a large non-commercial U.S. ship with an American Flag, Gun turret, Hoists and booms , and a number of small passenger boats, and two men on a flotilla. Possibly associated with an U.S. Government expedition to explore arctic waters and/or coastlines off of Alaska prior to it's admittance to the union. Unknown Ship. A nice crisp image none-the-less and a nice addition to any collection of arctic exploration or Alaska memorabilia.
