Larned, Professor, U.S. Military Academy and Secretary of the Building Committee. To Which is added a description of the quarrying, working transportation and erection of the shaft, by Edward F. Miner. Printed by the De Vinne Press for West Point. New York, 1898. Limited First Edition of a total of one thousand copies printed on Van Gelder paper. Exact size 6 1/2 by 9 inches. 237 pages. Condition: Good. Original paper boards with new 3/4 leather binding and black endpapers. 4 inch closed tear with a 1 inch chip missing from copyright page which precedes half-title page. Else, pages are clean and tight. Blindstamp of the "Metropolitan Club New York" in small format to top of Title page. No other ex-collection marks. Profusely illustrated with B&W images. Scarce. First Edition. Limited Edition of 1,000 copies. Militaria. U.S. Military History.
