American Chestnut Chippendale Bureau Ca. 1765-1785

Four drawer American butternut Chippendale bureau ca. 1765-1785. Possibly Pennsylvania. Butternut wood and simple straight front design and simple Ogee bracket form feet. Front Ogee Feet on platforms and One backing board replaced in the late 19th century; Platforms original. Nice cut-off corners with attached fluted columns to sides. All original; Original Patina with moderate wear; Original willow pattern brass handles (missing two pulls), and original Key eschutcheons(no Key). All original interior wood, sound and tight. Dimensions are 40 inches wide by 36 inches high by 19 1/2 inches deep. More information and photos upon request.
