In nice, old, unopened, golden oak frame. Exact size framed: 22 1/2 by 18 1/2 inches. Window opening of mat measures 11 by 8 1/4 inches. Printed on thick rag paper, with a nice deep plate mark. Titled: Pony express and signed R.H. Palenske in plate. Condition: VG minus. Slight hint of age-toning just above the stage coach. A nice bright impression of one of Palenske's most memorable prints. Original onion skin Title page with historical information pasted down on verso relating the history of the horses and riders of the Pony Express like Buffalo Bill Cody and Alex Carlyle. Small framing studio stamp affixed to bottom, "Raymond, Cheyenne, Wyoming". All original, as found.
