Collection 3 Colorado Banking Bags Denver Fort Lupton
(Item: 550)
Collection of three old banking bags from Colorado banks, Denver, Ft. Lupton and one unmarked. The Unmarked bag is an early hand sewn bag possibly from the old mining days, made to hold bullion or Gold coins of some kind. It measures: 9 by 5 inches and is unmarked. The fabric is soiled and well used. The draw strings are intact. The second bag is stamped in red "The First National Bank DENVER, COLO." Exact size: 12 by 4 3/4 inches. It appears to be slightly larger and intended for scripophily or paper currency. Slight red ink bleeding to fabric around imprint; otherwise a nice and clean item. The Third bag is stamped, "Fort Lupton State Bank, Fort Lupton, Colo. Member FDIC in blue ink. Exact size: 14 by 8 1/2 inches. Some dampstaining to cloth but still relatively clean. Three nice little items from Colorado's banking past.
