Original aqua hard-cover in good condition with gold gilt lettering and illustration, somewhat faded, on front, and gold gilt design on spine. Actual size: 5 by 7 1/2 inches. 389 pages. Bottom of front and back cover corners slightly rubbed and bumped. Bottom of spine frayed. Top of spine bumped with a quarter inch tear along spine and front cover. Slight rubbing along back cover. Two inches of blue pen scribble on back cover. Moderate shelf wear on both covers. Decorative end-papers in good condition with some aging. Signature "Daniel Hunting," on front end-pages in pencil. 25 black and white illustrations in good condition with some aging. Text block pages in good condition with some foxing and light finger soiling. Spine loosening in some places, especially around page 384, but holding. This is a narrative of hunting adventures in Arizona, New Mexico, and Central America in the mid to late 19th century.
