Custer, Published by Harper & Brothers Publishers, New York, 1887. 26 black and white illustrations and maps. 1st edition. Original tan cover with gold gilt lettering, brown design in relief, in good condition. Actual size: 5 by 7 1/2 inches. 403 pages. Some soiling and shelf wear on cover, especially along the top edges of the boards. Front and back end pages in good condition, slight foxing. Binding tight, except for page 244 – 245 is loosening, but holding. Light finger soiling and rubbing to binding. Text block pages in good + condition. Light foxing along top of text block pages, and less so along sides. This is on the life of General Custer by his wife, Elizabeth from 1866 to 1887 on the plains of Texas and Kansas. 1st Edition. Scarce. Western American History, Americana. Indian Wars.
