Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Profusely Illustrated with B&W Photographs (illustrator). First Limited Edition "Posse Edition". 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Original red decorative cloth covered boards in very good minus condition. Little shelf wear. Brown lettering on spine. Green and white dust jack chipped and torn at head and tail of spine. 1 inch of loss at head of DJ spine. 1/2 inch of loss at tail of DJ spine. DJ portrays "Denver from the Highlands in 1875," as taken from Harper's Bazaar, July 10, 1875. Actual size of book: 6 X 9 1/4. 312 pages. Decorative endpapers with some light discoloration also shows a photograph of "Denver from the Highlands in 1875." Binding, text block and pages in clean and tight condition with little wear. 32 Illustrations including: black and white photographs by William H. Jackson and T. H. O'Sullivan, and black and white sketches and reproductions. This is a collection of fifteen previously unpublished articles written to study and preserve life on the western plains and mountains. This particular volume lends deeper insight into phases of enduring interest including pioneers, trails, cattle, and mining.
