“Denver,” by Robert Adams. Published by the Colorado Associated University Press in cooperation with the State Historical Society of Colorado, 1977. Glossy gold/grey paper cover in good condition. Front cover is a black and white photo of Denver with the title “Denver,” in black. Spine is green with black lettering. Cover has shelf-wear. Top front corner fraying. Bottom top cover corner fraying slightly. Also, slight fraying/wear on back cover corners. Bend across back cover. End pages in good condition. Photo pages in good condition with little aging or wear. This is a collection of 119 pages of black and white photographs of Denver broken into several sections including: “Land surrounded; to be developed,” “Factories; Industrial land,” “Our homes,” “Trees,” “Roads,” “Agricultural Land in the Path to Development.” The book contains an introductory poem by Cid Corman and an introduction by the author. The photographs do not contain an explanation except for 12 captions listed at the end of the book. Actual size: 8 ¾ by 10 ½ inches. Photos are 5 by 6 ¼ inches. 1st edition. Scarce. Photography.
