Large Navajo Eyedazzler Rug ca. 1930
(Item: SOLD 83)
Circa 1930 Navajo Eyedazzler trading post rug. Larger size 91 inches long by 52 inches wide. Tight weave, possibly from the "Crystal" post weaving area. A beautiful orange hue rarely seen in rugs of this period-a vibrant pulsating design; and an exceptionaly fine and tight weave make this an excellent example of Navajo craftsmenship. Condition is Very Good- to Good+ (scale: poor, Good-+, Very Good-+, Fine). There are 5 small, less than 1/2 inch holes to interior field probably owing to former moth damage (see photos); some dirt and soiling but no urine stains. Rug is in as found condition, suitable for immediate display, or ready for a cleaning and some light repair. Seller guarantees an unconditional return policy and a one week inspection period on this rug, since photos fail to capture condition accurately. So, bid with confidence.
S/H and insurance fees will not be refunded. Good luck.
