1895 TEXAS CRAZY QUILT LOTS OF CREATURES
(Item: QUILT CRAZY QUILT)

36 BLOCK FOLKY HILLSBORO, TEXAS CRAZY QUILT
Dated SEPTEMBER 28, 1895, this gem has obvious problems typical of late 20th Century crazy quilts with silks.  Even with missing or shredded silks this one is worth salvation.  Made when Hillsboro was just 42 years old, it is definitely a piece of Texas hill country history and should be preserved.  Pictures show lots of the creatures that adorn the quilt: a dog, cat, chick, crane, knife & fork, lucky horse shoe, Moon & Stars, swans, hearts, flowers, and more.  Could definitely be displayed on a wall, as pictured, or put  up and saved for a winter project.  Please be aware there are a few missing pieces, numerous shredded pieces and some staining from the black back.  It is almost square at 77 inches by 79 inches.  Needs to be retired and looking for a home in Texas!

Will pack properly and ship promptly to highest bidder.
