EARLY OCEAN WAVES VARIATION QUILT Included are an extra folky Texas CRAZY QUILT; a fabulous, mint condition 1930's large DOUBLE WEDDING RING from Kansas; a near mint IRISH CHAIN in salmon colors; an OCEAN WAVES (or FLYING GEESE VARIATION); an extra bright TRIP AROUND THE WORLD; and a never used 1930's LINEN FOUR POSTER BED SPREAD. THIS AUCTION: Believe this pattern is OCEAN WAVES
or a VARIATION OF FLYING GEESE or WILD GOOSE CHASE. Will gladly add
to listing if someone has another opinion. Of the hundreds of little
(geese) triangles, perhaps 3 dozen are frayed. They are hard to see,
as any missing part shows white and blends into the pattern. Opening
price is appropriate to this condition. This quilt came from the
same collection as the mint Double Wedding Ring and the fine Irish Chain
we are offering today also. Family believes the same woman made all
three quilts, this being the earliest.
Came from a modest North Central Kansas farm house
and all were made with great attention and care. Quilt is 76 inches
by 67 inches with lots of really neat little pieces of print cotton. Will pack properly and ship promptly
to highest bidder.
