CIRCA 1865 STAR EMBELLISHED WALNUT WALL SHELF

It is large, substantial and has lots of things going for it.
It is the following:
39 inches tall, 27 1/2 inches wide and 9 inches at its deepest.
It is made of 1/2 inch thick walnut and was made in the last half of the 19th Century, probably around the Civil War.
There are 4 shelves,
which graduate in size for the bottom of 8 inches deep,
to 7 1/2 inches, to 6 1/2 inches,
to the top shelf of 5 3/4 inches.
It is pierced carved
and embellished with dramatic 5 point stars.
Please note there is a piece lost around one of the stars.
otherwise, the condition is outstanding!
The stars lead us to think of "patriotic"
or perhaps a Texas star.
We acquired a number of years ago from a mountain homestead farm in Boulder County Colorado,
but do not remember any specific heritage.
Winning bidder will be pleased with this large shelf.
Reserve is what we paid approximately 7 years ago.
Not terribly heavy,
but it is large and will ship Oversize II UPS for $40.
Will pack properly and ship promptly.
