VERY FINE EARLY WABASH RAILROAD MUG
(Item: RR 46)

We are continuing today with a large Kansas City estate collection of Railroad China and accessory pieces.  She collected beautiful art glass and flow blue china and He worked for the railroad and carefully put together a wonderful and large collection.  We are selling all on Ebay and will take them as they come from the boxes.  The collection has been packed and not added to for over ten years.  We've done a bit of research, but probably just enough to get ourselves in trouble with descriptions.  Will gladly add pertinent info to any listing, so, please feel free to let us know of errors or changes that should be made.  Will describe as well as possible.  All will be offered without reserve and an opening price of $9.50.  Please "bookmark" our listings for 250+ items to come.  Will probably not list in other areas until the railroad is sold.

~THIS AUCTION~
#46
One of the neatest pieces, and probably the earliest, in the collection!

Wonderful early ironstone coffee mug.  Our research says this one is late 1800s and probably the very earliest Wabash Railroad pattern.  The pattern name is also "WABASH".  It is 3 1/4 inches tall and the pictures pretty well show the excellent condition.  There is very minor ware/staining around the lip and on the bottom edge & a few very minor light/tiny light brown spots, around.  There are no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing.  The burgundy letters are still strong.  Believe this one is one of those "hard-to-find" railroad china pieces and certainly a centerpiece in a collection...
