LLOYD PARKER BROADBILL DUCK DECOY ~19TH CENTURY
(Item: DECOY LLOYD PARKER)

~SOLD $430~
This old broad bill duck decoy was made by Lloyd Parker of Parkertown, New Jersey (1859-1921). He made hollow body ducks with ice groove behind the neck, as pictured. This has been validated as a hollow body Parker decoy by a well known decoy expert, and that info will be given to the winner, if requested. Note the great shape on the neck, bill and head! This decoy has a good old repaint. On the bottom someone wrote the name 'Shourds', as it does resemble the work of Harry Shourds. The tail has a couple dings and some paint loss, as pictured. This duck has no eyes which we understand is typical of Parker.
There are a few minor dings on the body and it has a rattle from some buckshot inside.
Otherwise, this decoy is in Good Condition.
This is a Grand old duck, just waiting to meet up with some other Parker decoys.
