OLD SLEEPING BLACK DUCK DECOY ~DON YUILL ~CANADA CARVER

This hollow body black duck by Don
Yuill was purchased a few years ago from a collector in Toronto who was
a friend of Mr. Yuill. This duck has tack eyes and a nail through the
bill to hold the head in place. The
bottom has been tacked on, as pictured. There
is some old shot that rattles inside of body, though the are no holes
in this decoy. The decoy comes with a string and an old rusty
lock used for the weight. There is minor paint loss on the tail and a
couple of scuffs on the body. There is an unusual tree design on the
bottom with green and yellow paint, as pictured. There is also remnants
of a paper sticker left on the bottom. The paint on top is
original, but we are unsure whether the bottom paint is original.
The age is unknown, but it was made within the last forty years.
