MOXLEY'S OLEOMARGARINE STONEWARE JAR ~BLUE & WHITE Here is a wonderful early 1/2 gallon
stoneware crock labeled 'WM J. MOXLEYS SPECIAL OLEOMARGARINE...THE
TASTE IS IN THE TEST.' Circa 1920s, this jar would come with white
margarine and yellow coloring. The consumer would hand mix the coloring
into the white margarine; see the picture of the directions on the back
of the crock. This jar has beautiful blue and white stripes around the
top and bottom, as well as black painted labels on front and back. The
crock itself is in Excellent condition. There are some firing pops
throughout. There is one firing flaw, not a crack, on the front bottom,
as pictured, that is underneath the paint. There are no cracks or
chips. There are a couple 1 inch spots where the paint has flaked along
back side of the bottom stripes; there is faint crazing in spots as
well. Overall this crock is in Excellent condition and the
conditions mentioned above are noticeable only upon very close
examination; they by no means affect the overall quality and charm of
this crock. It measures 6 3/4 inches tall, 5 3/4 inches in diameter. Check our Excellent feedback and bid with confidence We will pack properly and ship promptly UPS domestic insured ground shipping $12 CLICK "HERE" FOR A
