PAIR 3 COLOR SPONGWARE 5 1/2" RED WING ? BOWLS

Here is an unusual pair of 5 1/2 inch stoneware, sponge ware bowls. They have a very similar look to Red Wing spongeware, but we have been unable to find Red Wing that has three sponge colors; blue, brown and red. Also, the red on these bowls is almost a maroon color, see photos. Notice the 'rib' in the rim, also not commonly found with Red Wing spongeware. The sides of these bowls are smooth all around, in other words, there are no panels. The colors are vibrant, the glaze, inside and out, is excellent and the sponge is consistent throughout. One bowl has a minor rim flake and the other bowl has one flake that is a little bigger, both too small to photograph. Also, there is some crazing on the inside of each bowl, consistent with their age; otherwise these bowls are in Excellent condition. The diameter of each bowl is 5 1/2 inches and they each measure 3 inches tall. If you have any information about these bowls, please let us know and we can add it to the description.
