This is a Fantastic Barnegat Bay Decoys (BBD) crow decoy. We guess that it was made in the 1970s. the wood is painted black, the beak is applied, the eyes are two nails, and the legs are metal spikes nailed to the body. The tail is stamped "BBD," for the Barnegat Bay Decoy factory in Barnegat Bay, New Jersey. The condition of the crow is Good. There are some scuffs on the body and flakes of paint, hinting that this may have been a working crow. The tip of the beak has a couple of tiny chips, though they are hardly noticeable. The photographs show this crow's condition very well.
The decoy measures 17 inches from bill to tail; when standing, the crow measures 11 1/2 inches tall.
