SUPERB SQUASH BLOSSOM NECKLACE ~OLD PAWN TICKET
(Item: SQUASH NECKLACE)

This Excellent Old Pawn Squash Blossom Necklace is one of the finest we have ever seen. Nearly 500 tiny pieces of blue/green turquoise with twelve curly blossoms, each with a four petal trumpet, all sitting on good hand made two piece silver beads. Unmarked necklace has an excellent patina, both to the silver and the stones. We acquired from a reputable Southwest Indian Auction House. Attached to the necklace is a Pawn ticket with the following info: Pawned 12/6/69 by Lucy Farley for a value of $144. (A quick internet search turns up a Prize winning Navajo weaver, 1970, from the Shiprock, New Mexico area; obviously, we have no way of knowing if this is the same Lucy Farley. She pawned the necklace for "two months". Necklace is 35 inches around, threaded on thick braided silver wire and looks considerably older than the '69 pawn date. Please note: there are 5 tiny pieces of turquoise missing and there are so many pieces on the necklace the missing ones are difficult to spot, but ideally should be replaced.
Check our other auctions for another pawn necklace and several nice Navajo rugs.
Also, check our eBay feedback and Gold Powerseller status and bid with confidence.
Will pack properly and ship promptly.
USPS PRIORITY MAIL $4.50, with insurance to be determined at auction end.
