BLACK BOY ~CABINET CARD FREAK SIDESHOW ALBINO PIEBALD

This week we stumbled across a neat group of Sideshow, Circus Freak type Cabinet Cards and offering them is individual auctions, so, check our other listings for some pretty exotic stuff. This auction is a standard size Cabinet Card with the image of a young Black Man with some major skin problems. A little internet research describes his problem, we think, as Piebald Albinism and/or Vitiligo. Regardless, this lad found his way the the Circus Side Show and was no doubt photographed often This posed albumen photograph is on a standard size cabinet card and the image is crisp and clear. There are some minor scuffs which are not noticeable enough to show in our photos, but you can see them if you hold in the right light; a crease on bottom right side to center and two small creases, top right. Image is from "RICH'S" in New York and is circa 1890.
