BROKEN STAR QUILT MINT CONDITION NEVER WASHED ~1940 From the local estate of a Great
Granny, we are pleased to offer today in separate auctions, three (3)
beautiful quilts. Each quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted by Grandma
Mae Best to her grand daughter, Eva, all made around the 1930s and
1940s, so check them out! ~ BROKEN STAR ~ This cotton quilt was never washed or used and still has the original pencil marks left by Grandma Mae when she hand quilted it for her Grand daughter Eva around 1940. Approximately 6-7 stitches per inch, this quilt has excellent yellows, purples and oranges. The Star explodes from the center and the floral prints are wonderful. There are no holes, tears, rips or mends and is in Excellent condition. According to Eva, this quilt has been stored in a chest for the past 60 + years. It measures 100 1/2 inches by 73 inches.
