OLDER ACOMA? BOWL NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN POT
(Item: INDIAN POT ACOMA 2)

We are offering 6 different Pieces Native American Pottery this week in separate auctions. We take pictures and describe the condition as accurately as possible, and include any other information that we may know about each piece. Obviously we are not experts in this field, so if there is information we exclude, feel free to email us and we can include that information at the bottom of each listing.

This pot has a wonderful pattern on it and a great old patina. The bottom section and inside rim are orange. There is quite a bit of crazing and flakes throughout, including a 1 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch flake on the outer layer of clay. The top rim and bottom edge have a number of flakes around the outer layer as well. The inside of the pot is very dirty, presumably from the pot being used for a plant? Otherwise, there are no major chips and no cracks throughout. When plunked you can hear there are no breaks. The pot measures 8 1/4 inch tall, 7 1/2 inches at it widest diameter and the rim measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter.
