BLUE BILL DECOY JOHN SMITH NOVA SCOTIA ~ORIGINAL PAINT
(Item: DECOY JOHN SMITH)

A fantastic Bluebill Drake decoy by known Nova Scotia carver John Smith, Circa 1925. John Smith (1882-1968) was one of most prolific decoy carvers in Nova Scotia, selling thousands of decoys over a period of seventy years.
With painted eyes and original paint throughout, this bird is in Very Good Condition. There are a few small flakes in the paint; the most noticeable being a small scuff on the back of the head, otherwise it is all original and looks fantastic. The colors are mostly gray, black and white; the bill is blue and the eyes are yellow.
The drake measures 14 1/2 inches long.
