1890s OHIO FLYING GEESE QUILT W. CHEDAR BORDER

From Ohio, Circa 1890, this Flying Geese Quilt has fantastic colors and patterns including the bold Cheddar border. Made entirely of cotton with a fabulous homespun backing and somewhat thicker batting throughout. It is hand pieced and hand quilted, 7-8 stitches per inch. There are a few light brown stains, as pictured, that hardly show up with the busy pattern; the largest in this area is approximately 2 inches square. Otherwise this quilt is in Very Good Condition and is a real eye catcher,
measuring 64 inches by 78 inches.
