A gorgeous antique Sterling gravy boat made by Gorham.
Marked on the bottom is the faded Gorham hallmarks, 'STERLING, A2780, 27D, JE CALDWELL & CO.,' and the hand etched number '4508F.' The right side of the boat has a fanciful monogram 'M.G.' It slightly misshapen on the diameter of the base, only noticeable upon close examination. Otherwise there are a few minor ladle nicks on one side rims where a spoon or gravy ladle sat; otherwise it is in good condition. The boat weighs 6.9 ounces and measures 7 1/8 of an inch from spout to handle, 3 1/2 inches wide and 3 3/4 inches tall at the handle.
