This is a set of five (5), Sterling Reed & Barton / Dominick and Haff table spoons in the 'King' pattern, originally issued in 1880. Check out another set of six, also available today in a separate auction.
The spoons pictured and described in this auction are the spoons the high bidder will receive.
We also have a number of auctions this week with similar patterns from different makers, so check them out.
As pictured, the back of each spoon is marked with the Reed & Barton / Dominick and Haff hallmarks,
'STERLING' and 'J.E CALDWELL & CO.'
Each spoon is monogrammed with a 'MG.' These table spoons are in overall fair condition. They were lovingly used throughout the years, as two of the five bowls are misshapen on the end and one stem on one of those spoons is misshapen. There is also some scratching and tooth marks on the front and backs of all the bowls and light nicks on the edges from use.
Our philosophy is to overstate the condition of items so that there are no suprises.
These Sterling spoons are nice for their age and the pictures show them well, so don't be afraid to bid.
Each spoon weighs 1.8 ounces and measures 7 inches long.
