This is a set of six (6), Sterling Reed & Barton / Dominick and Haff luncheon knives in the 'King' pattern, originally issued in 1880. Check out another set of six, also available today in a separate auction.
The knives pictured and described in this auction are the knives the high bidder will receive.

The handle of each luncheon knife is marked
with the Reed & Barton / Dominick and Haff hallmark, 'STERLING 13.'
Each handle is monogrammed with the initials 'MG.' The blades are all stamped 'JE Caldwell & Co Philadelphia.' Guessing the blades are silver plated as there is some tarnish on the edges of the blades and the joint between the handle and the blade. One knife blade is considerably more tarnished than the others. this same knife does have a two small splits on the end of the handle. A second knife in this set looks to have been mended with sterling on the side of the handle. Otherwise, the other handles all have some light nicks and scratching, though are in overall good condition. Each knife measures 8 1/2 inches long.
