12 WALLACE 'LUCERNE' STERLING 1895 TEASPOONS

This is a set of twelve (12) Wallace, 'Lucerne' pattern (1896) Sterling silver teaspoons. Marked as pictured with Wallace hallmarks, 'RW & S, Pat 1896,' and 'Sterling.' These gorgeous spoons tell a wonderful story. Each spoon is monogrammed on the front with the name 'Margaret.' Also, each spoon is monogrammed on the back, each with a different year. Apparently Margaret was given one of these beauties every year on June, 15th; perhaps her birthday? The years span from 1902-1907; there is then a break between 1908 and 1912. Then, 6 more from 1913 to 1918. for some reason Margaret either didn't get or keep the spoons from 1908 through 1912? If only we knew the full story...As these were obviously spoons given only once a year they were very well kept and hardly, if ever, used. There is no issue with condition, all are in Very Good order!
Each spoon weighs 1 ounce and measures 5 7/8 inches long.
