~This Auction #1~

The fork in this set was given to Margaret in 1904 and the knife in 1905. Both of these Sterling pieces was produced by Wallace Co. in the 'Lucerne' pattern (1896). Both pieces are marked RW & S STERLING with a deer head as part of the mark.  They are both marked on one side with the monogram 'Margaret,' and on the other side with 1904 and 1905, respectively. The fork was well used, as the tines do have numerous cut marks and one tine is well worn. The knife is tarnished on the silver plated blade, while the handle is tarnished, but has no cracks, dents or repairs, only light scratching. The fork weighs 1.1 ounce and measures 6 inches long. The knife measures 7 1/2 and weighs 1.3 ounces.
