PAIR 4 3/4" EARLY STAFFORDSHIRE POODLE FIGURES

We're pleased to offer fifteen
excellent early Staffordshire figures
from our Scottsdale, AZ, "living estate". Some of the dogs are
pairs, and we will keep them together, so twelve auctions in
total. Several of the pieces are large, and most are vibrant and
in excellent condition, some rare. Each is described
below. This collection, and others to be offered soon, was
lovingly selected over many years, and each held special sentiment for
the owner. Because of the fragile soft-paste of the
Staffordshire, we cannot combine shipping on the larger pieces.
We will, however, group the smaller figures for some savings.

PAIR OF 4 3/4" STAFFORDSHIRE POODLES
Two white poodles with gilded collars and painted lockets, folky faces. Fur-like decoration made by passing clay through a sieve and applying it prior to firing. Paint in excellent condition, light crazing and one piece of "fur" missing on hind leg of "A". Both marked as pictured: Made in England, a circle with PV, 172/2B and 172/2A.
