We're pleased to offer fifteen
excellent early Staffordshire figures
from our Scottsdale, AZ, "living estate". Some of the dogs are
pairs, and we will keep them together, so twelve auctions in
total. Several of the pieces are large, and most are vibrant and
in excellent condition, some rare. Each is described
below. This collection, and others to be offered soon, was
lovingly selected over many years, and each held special sentiment for
the owner. Because of the fragile soft-paste of the
Staffordshire, we cannot combine shipping on the larger pieces.
We will, however, group the smaller figures for some savings.

8 1/2" STAFFORDSHIRE GIRL WITH DOG ON BARREL
Figure of girl seated on barrel holding tambourine, wearing a feather plumed hat and a red shawl over her shoulder, blue blouse with gilded neck and print skirt. Large red and white dog seated on haunches beside her with feet on barrel. Excellent condition. Small factory flaw on front of neck; otherwise, no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Paint is excellent! Probably has companion piece - boy with drum, seated on barrel with large dog. Harding's book on Staffordshire dogs values companion piece at $1000 to $1500.
