excellent early Staffordshire figures
from our Scottsdale, AZ, "living estate". Some of the dogs are
pairs, and we will keep them together, so twelve auctions in
total. Several of the pieces are large, and most are vibrant and
in excellent condition, some rare. Each is described
below. This collection, and others to be offered soon, was
lovingly selected over many years, and each held special sentiment for
the owner. Because of the fragile soft-paste of the
Staffordshire, we cannot combine shipping on the larger pieces.
We will, however, group the smaller figures for some savings.

13 1/4" STAFFORDSHIRE GROUP FIGURE OF TAM O'SHANTER AND SOUTER JOHNNY, NAMED
Two large figures seated on titled base, O'Shanter holding a mug, wearing a pink print jacket and waistcoat, yellow leggings and a hat; Johnny holding a jug, wearing an orange beret, polka dot scarf, taupe apron and waistcoat with blue striped stockings under gilded breeches. A barrel sits between the two. Excellent condition except for gilt paint on title; minor paint loss on tips of noses. No visible cracks, chips, crazing or repairs. Harding's Book One values this piece at $600 to $1000.
