EARLY HAND DRAWN SILHOUETTE OF STUDENT ~SIGNED

Wish we could offer more information
about this unusual "student" silhouette, but we have little to offer,
other than the fine detailed art. The hand made mahogany frame is
6 inches by 4 1/2 inches and one of the "black" corners has been
replaced and could use some more black. The writing on the
front is perhaps German, and is not readable to us. An old tag on
the back, as pictured, says "Unknown student, Lotte Vettinger
family". A simple Google search turns up no one by that
name. The silhouette was found by us in a Boulder, Colorado
estate full of unusual things. The image is well preserved and is
under glass. Supposing it is mid 19th Century or earlier.Domestic shipping UPS Ground insured $8.
