Pencil Signed and Dated:

This is a beautifully detailed woodcut print designed by Robert Gibbings (1889-1958). It comes from the series "Iorana". "Iorana" was the first book entirely written and illustrated by this noted British engraver. He was commissioned to create a series of wood engravings to illustrate a proposed book by James Norman Hall, but the project was scrapped.
