BURLINGTON ROUTE FAN

BURLINGTON ROUTE- advertising fan. This wonderful piece is housed in a double sided glass case with wooden frame. Colorful round paper fan with box logo and reads Compliments of Burlington Route CB&QRR. Shows cigar smoking bearded baby wrapped in blanket that reads CB&Q surrounded by several other men in blankets. Not sure what the message was on this but certainly unique. Reverse reads, " The Line Selected by the United States Government to Carry the Fast Mail Through Trains Between Chicago, Peoria & St. Louis. Shows system map in center and lists the destinations on either side. Fan has manufacturers mark of Okaka, Japan above Chicago. Bamboo frame on the fan shows some edge tears and age but otherwise a unique offering that will be a great addition to any collection. This is a wonderful turn of the century item.
