ALABAMA GREAT SOUTHERN RR- green cast extended base globe with serif letters. This beautiful globe is in good condition with only some very minor edge flakes on top and bottom, otherwise just waiting for a frame. "According to Poors Manual this road was the Alabama & Chattanooga from Oct. 6, 1868, until November 30, 1877. The name was changed to Alabama Great Southern Railway Company--Limited. The 1924 Poors Manual still showed the road being operated as the Alabama Great Southern RR (controlled by the Southern Railway Co.) with 318.35 miles of track.
