SANTA FE 1880'S ADVERTISING BROADSIDE

AT&SF- Circa 1880’s promotional advertising piece. Hard cardboard this great offering measures 13 ½” x 7”. Printed by Poole Bros. Chicago this one reads, “Westward the star of the empire takes its way via the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad”. Lists C.C. Wheeler as Gen’l Manager Topeka Kan and W.F. White Gen’l Pass & Tk’t Ag’t. Greenish blue background shows line completed from Missouri River to San Francisco with all stops in between. It appears that the border has been trimmed but still very acceptable condition with only a small area top right that has a small ½” tear that has been retouched with similar background color. Colorful with great lithography this one is a rare and one of kind offering that will be a great addition to any collection.
