MIDLAND TERMINAL BUILDERS PLATE
(Item: CAT59/LOT77)

ALCO-Schenectady #4428 dated 1896 from Midland Terminal Railroad engine #55 a 2-8-0. Plate does show some minor chisel marks on the front & back. This was obtained by Mac Poor from the Midland Terminal at the time of its demise. Mac cleaned and flattened the plate and mounted it on a display board. He sold this plate and many others to Bob Lehmuth of Orange California in 1969. The plate was then sold to Wayne York of New Breman, Ohio in 1974. Our consignor purchased the plate from him. This lot will include the original letters outlining the plates history. Extremely rare and seldom offered this one will be a real treasure for the builders plate enthusiast.
