AT&SF CALIFORNIA LIMITED PLATE

AT&SF CALIFORNIA LTD-7 ˝” bread plate. Top marked and manufactured by Dunn Bennett’s this rare plate is sure to be one of the stars of this auction. Back stamp reads, “Dunn Bennett’s Patent Unchippable Surface Burslem England”. Only a handful of pieces in this pattern are known in collections today. This early pattern dates in the late 1890’s making any pieces that have survived even more desirable. The glaze has heavy crazing most likely due to manufacturing issues, but overall the piece shows only a couple of very small use marks with the gold in good condition as well. Without the crazing this piece would be near mint condition. Over the years we have had the pleasure of being able to offer some incredible pieces this one will certainly fall into the category as one of the top ten.
