DENVER & RIO GRANDE EXPRESS- large wooden depot sign measures 31” x 15” including flanged end. Double sided and painted with blue & white Express logo this is without a doubt one of the premier pieces offered in this sale. From Antonito, Colorado this great offering shows understandable wear fromexposure to the elements. One side appearing brighter than the other. Surface almost has a felt appearance from the process used in painting which protected it from the weather. This is the only one we are aware of that has survived in any collection. A true treasure for not only an Express collector but with out question for the Denver & Rio Grande enthusiast.
