LOT 340 WM C WARREN LANTERN

WM C WARRENwheel cut in Old English letters surrounded by fancy wreath design on clear 7 ½” globe housed in brass fixed globe lantern with wrist bale and bell bottom. Star cut out design on bottom & anchor cut out above embossed stars on top. Glass fount with whale oil type burner. Bottom of bell has two levers to pinch and remove font & burner. Manufactured by New England Glass Company with patent date of October 24, 1854. Has unfortunate but hard to see 3” hook crack from top edge on the back side so still would display beautifully. A real treasure as early as this one is and waiting for a new home. MINIMUM BID $
