LOT 120 TRY CO TROLLEY COIN BOX

TRY CO- Trolley car coin box. Hand held coin box with key, patented 1914. Made of horsehide and nickel-plated brass with glass windows. Designed so coin dropped into slot on top can be viewed until box is tilted back. Then coin is dropped into locked compartment. Weighted guards prevent coins from being removed from slot on top. Number 652 marked on box and locking door. Working key is not original. Unique piece.
