LOT 121 OIL RESERVE TANK(?)

OIL RESERVE TANK? -OK, here is an item from the we really don’t know department? This one is all brass measuring 13 5/8” tall with 6 ½” diameter across the top. Looks like a large brass whistle however the top is open resembling a chamber that would hold a liquid of some sort. There is a valve on the side that possibly was used to control the flow of liquid in the chamber. Green felt was added to the bottom to protect whatever surface it sat one but I do think, this was added by the previous owner and not the railroad. At any rate, if anyone can shed some light on this one we would love to know. In the meantime, we sell this one for whatever it is worth. Again this one is from the Durango collection. MINIMUM BID $50
